Life at hostel while studying

Many students are unwilling to stay at hostel, they perceived that look like prison's room. Of course, there is much 'tight' for students. Adversely, i'm feeling ease with the simple but enrichment life at hostel.

Today, it's my first time woke up at 7.00 a.m during my semester break, headed to college's hostel to fulfill my registration. As i know, many parents and students are arriving there earlier that the office working hour. Students' parents are passionate and friendly to accompany their son get to know the hostel altogether. Some parents even touched my heart by helping their son clean up their room and move all the essential goods to their places.

The bigness, kindness, politeness and passion of parents toward their son were the most impactful motivation for students to study hard not only to repay their parents but also appreciate what they already did for you. Every student come with ambition, however, i hope all students go back with achievement at least.

Surely, for how far i can do with my parent is just concentrate on my studies and never let them down just because of me. They never have high expectation on us, but we must give them the highest recognition. A hundred miles begin with first step. Let's us move forward and prove us "boleh".

Tomorrow is my genting trip with my friends. See you.

What i have learned ?

Step toward second year and say goodbye to year 1 of my diploma life. The first year has been given me clearer picture about accountacy and how to make myself more competent. Briefly, subjects that have been taught were:

1. English language and communication skills
2. Economics (microeconomics and macroeconomics)
3. Principles of accounting
4. Information technology
5. Quantitative studies
6. Finance
7. Compulsory subjects ( Bm and hubungan etnik )

While i'm reminisced, what is important for a student, weaknesses and habits that can affect a student's perspective should be amended as early as possible.

Procrastination always in destructive form. Hopefully, it will away and never approach me for any excuse. Goah... I'm on holidays but tied up of late too.

We need look forward and never look back. I must think about the future, or else going to fail.
Awaiting academic year 2. Good night.

Why i choose TARC ?

I'm going sharing with you, why i selected Tunku Abdul Rahman College as my tertiary institution. Upon graduation, students must busy thinking and choosing the right college or university to continue their study. To me, choosing a college is a process for students to go through.

After graduate from secondary school, i start do some research via internet. I knew that Tarc is the only institution outside the UK to conduct the ACCA Internally-Assessed programme since 1987. It provided quality and affordable education, of course the cost effective was my vital concern issue in doing the decision.

My ambition is never change. My passion towards accountancy never change. I have determined the priorities in my life. In the meantime, Tarc is the specialised institution in accountacy and having the reputation in the Malaysia. The college has been served 40 years in the educational field and produced more than 130,000 graduates to the workforce.

If you are tarcian, i'm sure, you know TARC has been awarded the ACCA's Platinum status, which is the hightest level of accreditation. If i no mistaken, two students from tarc have grabbed the first and second placing of the ACCA Malaysia Top Affiliates in the ACCA examination. However, students who have earned the praise from the college directly get offer of job under the big4 audit firms upon graduate.

Right now, i'm only a year 2 diploma student but desire for continue Advanced diploma in Commerc (Financial Acoounting) cum ACCA is never less. I simply comfortable in this programme , just because students from this programme can proceed into the final professional part of ACCA and complete the qualification simutaneously with the Advanced Diploma Studies. Be fast, 2 years to complete this programme.

I'm ready to try, challenge, explore and learn more about this programme.

Anas Zubedy's social contract

He did it again. Anas Zubedy has taken out an full page advert in The Star on May 6th. He wants to share his views of social contract with all the people in Malaysia.

He has mentioned:

Many Malaysians have debated about the social contract. Some say it exist, while others don’t. Some are for it, some against.

But what is the social contract? Where is it? Does it really exist? Whether it exist or not, why not we come out with one?

So, here are my thoughts. You can agree with my ideas, comment about them or simply agree to disagree.

But, please use logic, love and wisdom.

Because,

Logic will make us fair with our minds;

Love will make us fair with our hearts; and,

Wisdom will lead us to combine our love and logic in the way of God and for the benefit of Mankind.

Thank you, cheers and peace,

What i like the most in the social contract was this picture:

We may different in race or religion, but the most importantly, we are all Malaysian.
Let's us achieve 1Malaysia hand-in-hand without fear and favor.

TARC-Tan Sri (Dr) Lim Goh Tong Student Loan Fund

I have been invited to attend the college event on the 4th of May 2009. As i stepped in the college hall, i realised that is a TARC-Tan Sri (Dr) Lim Goh Tong Student Loan Fund presentation ceremony. The VIPs presented were our former MCA president Datuk seri Ong Kang Ti , current MCA president Datuk seri Ong Tee Kiat and RWB chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay as well.

I strongly believe education is the only way out of poverty. This student loan fund comes in the right time during the economic downturn period. The total amount of this student loan is worth Rm1mil. It is helpful for needy, underprivilege and deserving students to continue their tertiary studies without worry of financial constraints.

What a good experience that can spot politicians and billionaire, their spirit of repayment to society is badly needed to instill in students. TARC has trained numerous of students become the top players in the world. Reputation and motto of the college are not questionable.

Did u believe that not enough seat for students, lecturers and guests??? The number of participators is encouraging and unpredictable.

Quality & Affordable education.
TARC always hold their slogan working now and forever.
